Your Own AT&T SIM, in a Modem We Run
An AT&T plan from SimProxies is one physical AT&T SIM card in one 4G or 5G device in a US city, carrying your traffic and nobody else's for the term you rent. You choose AT&T at checkout, pick a city, and the dashboard gives you a host, ports and credentials. This page explains what a website sees when you connect through that SIM, where our AT&T stock is deepest, the one geolocation quirk to know about, and how to get a month of good use out of the line.
What a site sees from an AT&T SIM
Run an IP lookup on one of our AT&T addresses and the network owner reads as AT&T Mobility, announced under AS20057, the autonomous system AT&T uses for its wireless subscribers. The connection type reads as cellular. It is not a hosting range, not a cloud block and not a home connection someone resold; it is the carrier's own mobile network under its own name, which is the same thing the phone in an AT&T customer's pocket shows.
Behind that address sits carrier-grade network address translation. AT&T does not have a public address for every phone, so it lines up many subscribers behind each one. When a site sees your request, it sees an address that plenty of ordinary AT&T customers are also using that hour. That is why mobile addresses are judged by behavior rather than by the number, and why a dedicated SIM, where the only behavior is yours, is worth having.
Where our AT&T SIMs live
We run hardware in eight metros: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, North Carolina and Boston, and AT&T SIMs are spread across them. Miami and North Carolina hold the deepest AT&T stock, so if you need several AT&T lines in the Southeast those are the cities to start with. Houston carries the largest rack overall and usually has AT&T available too. Stock moves as customers come and go, so the checkout page is the final word on what is free today, and support will confirm a specific city before you pay.
One quirk is worth knowing before you order. Our Boston AT&T SIMs are physically in Boston, but AT&T registers those addresses in a way that geolocation databases read as New York. If your work needs the address to read as Boston, choose Verizon there instead. If a New York reading is fine or even preferred, Boston AT&T gives you a second New York-reading pool.
4G and 5G on AT&T
AT&T SIMs are available on 4G LTE and on 5G, in USB modems, cellular routers and Android phones. A 4G line typically runs 20 to 45 Mbps and a 5G line 50 Mbps and up, depending on signal at the device. For account management, verification and checks, 4G is plenty; for heavy uploads or video work the 5G line is worth the difference. The device type is your choice at checkout; the SIM, the carrier and the address behave the same in all three.
Rotation and sticky sessions on AT&T
A rotation ends the modem's data session and opens a new one, and AT&T's regional gateway hands the new session an address from the same pool. Sometimes it is a different address, sometimes one the SIM has used before, and it is always still AT&T in the same metro. You trigger rotation from the dashboard, the link, the API, a timer or by hand, with no limit on how often, and nobody else can trigger one on your SIM.
Left alone, an AT&T SIM holds its address for as long as the carrier keeps the session alive, and a busy line tends to keep it longer than an idle one. For logins and long sessions, keep a little traffic flowing and rotate only between jobs.
Who picks AT&T
Customers who choose AT&T usually do so for one of three reasons: the phone number on the account is an AT&T number and they want carrier and number to match; the work is in the Southeast where our AT&T stock is deepest; or a site they work with reads AT&T addresses particularly well. If none of those apply, any of the three carriers works, and the metro matters more than the carrier for geolocation.
Renting an AT&T SIM
Pick a city, choose AT&T and the network at checkout, and the plan activates when paid. A 4G AT&T SIM is $5 for a day, $28 for a week or $65 for a month; 5G is $6, $31 or $75. The month is the plan we built the service around, and the SIM stays in the same device for all of it. Test one by the hour first if you like: $2 for the first two hours on 4G, and the hours count toward the day if you keep it.
AT&T proxy questions
Will an AT&T address show my city?
The metro or the state, yes, except Boston, where AT&T addresses read as New York. Choose Verizon in Boston if the Boston reading matters.
Why does the AT&T address keep repeating after rotation?
AT&T's regional pool is finite and the gateway hands out whatever is free. Repeats are normal. Rotate again if you need a different one right now.
Can I match the SIM to an AT&T phone number on my account?
Yes, and it is a sensible pairing: number and network then belong to the same company. Tell support the city and we will confirm AT&T stock there.
